Pirate Ship to Dock in Cardiff
A huge ship reminiscent of those straight out of a pirate tale is docking in Cardiff Bay later this month, with the public invited on board to explore it. The Galeón Andalucía is set to dock at Britannia Quay between May 10 and 12 before continuing its tour around the UK.
The ship is a replica of a galleon used by the Spanish between the 16th and 18th centuries for trade between Spain, America and the Philippines, and is the only one in the world that currently sails. And now the six deck ship which provides sail training will be open to the public. The ship will make pit-stops in Cardiff, Jersey, Plymouth, Poole, Scarborough, Southend-on-sea and Whitby before ending up in Great Yarmouth.
Something to see when visiting Happy Jakes
